đđđ đśđ Happy Holiday everyone!!!
Todayâs blog is an amazing tool that takes 5 minutes to determine which of your core issues or core wounds you may uncover and work on.

If you are interested, please let me know. I have committed to buying the original of her Bamboo painting which can be found in the âmy storyâ/about section of my blog.

An X-Ray Into Your Mind and the Health of Your 4 Core BeliefsâTakes 5 minutes
December 23, 2019
How do we know if our core beliefs are strong enough to help us achieve our exterior world? A very good way is to look at your achievements and relationships. If you are not wealthy (or achieved) or if your relationships arenât exactly the way you want them to be, these are good indications that your 4 core beliefs need work. Your core wounds, which will be a term that will be reflected in much personal development work starting in 2020, will be reflected in your core beliefs
Which core beliefs? I wanted to find a way to know which core belief needed work and how much. The following was discovered accidentally and may not map 100%, but it provides an amazing diagnostic tool, where otherwise we would be using a subjective scale of rating our 4 core beliefs out of 10 (which I also encourage).
Above is a mapping of Maslowâs needs hierarchy. Essentially, Mazlow is a short cut to the psychological development chart of human beings. Richard Barrett, took Maslowâs need hierarchy and mapped it to values to determine a personâs level of âconsciousnessâ instead of âneedsâ. For example, he took, the Self-Actualization Need step of Maslow and broke it into 3 levels of consciousness, Barrettâs levels 5, 6 and 7. (See above graph), then âknow and understandâ is level 4. Maslowâs Self-esteem is Level 3, Love and Belonging is Level 2 etc.
Barrett then created three stages, Stage 1 is Personal mastery, Stage 2 is Internal Cohesion and Stage 3 is External Cohesion. Essentially, sticking to our initial model, Stage 1 and Stage 2 is the internal world and once that is great, then the external world, Stage 3, can be developed properly.
So based on Barrettâs 7 levels of consciousness, Stage 1 and 2 is about self and Stage 3 is your interaction with the External World. This gives us a great model to map back to our 4 core beliefs.
Level 1 of Consciousness is more about Physical Safety and Healthâthis is the Body. Level 2 to 5 Maps back to the Mental World or our Inner World. This is where it gets very interesting. Level 2 relates to Self-Love ie. Belonging. Level 3 relates to Self Worth. Level 2 maps directly to our core belief of Self Love. Level 3 maps directly to the core belief of Self Worth.Â
Level 4 is about Personal Growthâwhile it does not map directly, much of personal growth is about creating confidence in yourself to take action. Personal Growth is about Personal Power (per Anthony Robbins, the personal growth guru whose first book was about personal power). So Level 4 maps to the core belief of I am safe and trusting (remember confidence comes from âconfidereâ, meaning trust in yourself to take the necessary action i.e. personal power). Level 5 is Finding Personal Meaning and that relates directly as I related above to the 4th core belief, I am whole and fulfilled.Â
Level 6 is about Collaboration and that maps to Relationships in the External World. Level 7 is about Service to Humanity and that maps to Achievements. Level 1 is about survival and that often sometimes maps to health or financial or physical or emotional safetyâwhich is the core belief of âI am safe and trustingâ. So the mapping is not perfect, but as you follow along, this is an incredible diagnostic tool (which really was not meant to be used in the way I am using it, but is very helpful for our purposes).
So what we have is the following:
Using Barrettâs Values as a Means to Determining Your Core Beliefs and External World
What Richard Barrett was able to do, was then to assign Values to each of the Levels of Consciousness. This can be seen in Barrettâs 7 Level of Consciousness above Values. For example, the Values of Excellence, etc. relates to Level 3 or Self Worth. This means that today, you are focusing on these values that are important to you because there is a need per Maslow to fulfill these values. A focus on Belonging, which maps back to Maslowâs need for Belonging means you have a current need for belonging or loveâthat is your current level of consciousness. As your level of consciousness rises, those needs become less important or are being fulfilled.
When you take Barrettâs Personal Value Assessment (PVA) Test, the free version, which is the one that I have used to determine an X-ray into my personal mind and also now tested on other people, is a values test that allows you to choose your 10 most important values at this moment (they can change tomorrow, but normally is pretty consistent over several months). Once you choose the core values, they are plotted on Barrettâs Value Map, which is shown below. This is mine.
So based on the above done in early October 2019, I am a level 4.5 to 5. I am at a consciousness level 4 or personal growth and working on my needs for personal growth.  This was before I started integrating my major work done with Canfield and my Reiki Master.
Other Examples
Above, my interpretation is that this person has to work on self-worth and also some self-love. Note that the way the person has chosen is via control.
Markâs Interpretation. This person is starting to move towards 5, but needs self-worth work to release her limiting core beliefs.
Markâs interpretation. This is a person who is at a level 4.5 and is being held back by her self-love core issues.
If you have a dot at a level 2, you have a need for belonging. This relates back to the level of your core belief about how much you are loved. If you are working on items that will help you fulfill your core belief of I am loving and loved, that means, you are improving or need for that level to be better i.e. it is not being fulfilled at this moment. Once you have that need fulfilled, you are no longer focused on it. So Barrettâs values give you an indication of how strong your core beliefs are.Â
Focusing on the core issues of self-worth and self-love.
I have focused on level 2 and 3 issues because these are the two issues the majority people are being held back or have core wounds. At level 4 and level 5, self-confidence and wholeness, things are moving already in the proper direction and when you have worked on these issues, then your ability to create and attain inner peace, love, and achievement becomes easier.
So Barrettâs Value Assessment can help you to locate our core wounds or core beliefs issues and where you need to focus on.
đ§ Taking the Testâ5 Minutes
Barrettâs has many different tests, the one that I use and its free is the Barrettâs Personal Value  Assessment (PVA) Test. It can be found here. https://www.valuescentre.com/tools-assessments/pva/
đ Shoutout
Thanks to K. S. who exposed me to this test and also had patience with me as I tried to explain how I am using this work, which was not meant to do what I am doing with it. LOL. Also thanks to those who have taken the tests and sent me the results to discuss and test my insight. Last, many of these slides on Barrettâs are from various Barrettâs presentations found on the Internet.
đ Action Items:
Take the test.
If you need help to interpret, email me the results at mhughsam@yahoo.com and I will help you to give my interpretation. Please note that I have found it about 85% to 90% accurate. However, only you will know if it is true for you.
Once you know what core wounds or issues you want to work on, then begin. Â This will be a future article
