True Self Mind Mastery Program
Overview of the Program
Mark Hugh Sam, the creator of True Self Mind Mastery, believe our struggles result mainly from 3 things:
a) Disconnecting from our True Self
b) Undeveloped psychological flexibility, and
c) Limiting beliefs and emotional learning from developmental trauma that creates self-sabotage.
With techniques from neuroscience, psychology, and research to identify and resolve the habits and beliefs limiting his joy and success, Mark was able to find his True Self and acquire the skills of psychologically flexible and attain Self-leadership to master his mind. He created the True Self Mind Mastery™ program to share, with others, the tools and insights he had gained through his own healing journey.
The True Self Mind Mastery™ program is delivered in three parts:
PART 1: Mental Fitness Training for Pyschological Flexibility
Duration: focus of the first 6 weeks of the program
We start by getting your mind and brain ready to accept new mental beliefs and perspectives. You will go through an app-based program called Positive Intelligence (PQ) for 6 weeks. PQ consists of 6 weekly 30-min group sessions, plus 15 minutes of daily PQ exercises (which continues throughout the program), and an hour of weekend video/reading.
Through Positive Intelligence training which builds new neurons and brain networks and helps to identify your major saboteurs, we will strengthen:
a) the saboteur interceptor muscle to shift from survival mode to sage mode (or True Self)
b) the 6 skills of psychological flexibility (also known as the 6 skills of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)) which becomes the foundation for mind mastery: 1. acceptance, 2. cognitive diffusion, 3. being present, 4. self-as-context, 5. values, and 6. committed action.
Peer-reviewed neuroscience and psychology research supports the PQ methodology, which has been used successfully by thousands of leaders and entrepreneurs worldwide. In addition, you will acquire skills to support the development of more positive behaviors and an optimistic outlook, as well as knowledge on how to recognize and deal with self-imposed saboteurs.
PART 2: Unburden Past Events and Trauma to Create Transformation and Joy
Duration: 10 Individual sessions over the last 10 weeks of the 12 week program
We lead you on a transformational journey tailored to your individual needs and goals over the course of ten weekly one-on-one sessions each 90 minutes in length. Our goal is to support you in discovering your True Self again and heal from the trauma and painful memories from the past. Together, we'll address the limiting beliefs, core wounds and emotional learning that are keeping you from feeling joy, flow, and ease. We'll use primarily the Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework, and supplemented by other techniques such as Regenerating Images in Memory (RIM), and Clear Beliefs. These methods will help you shed limiting beliefs, uncover unconscious habits, and install a more powerful mental and emotional operating system that will produce exponential outcomes.
PART 3: Integration for Self-Leadership and to Sustain Transformation
Duration: focus of the last 6 weeks of the program
Once we have built the foundations of the 6 psychological flexibility, reconnecting with your True Self and uncovering your core wounds and limiting beliefs, we move into integrating these skills into living a life based on love instead of fear and learning to live as your True Self and having self-leadership over all parts of you.
We continue the weekly 30-minute group sessions to learn other advanced and emotional skills such as whether you are securely or insecurely attached, how to reduce anxiety, your mission and the PQ Coach Skills of Solving challenges.
For many, developing other skills may be recommended through other mini-courses such as un-tethered Souls by Michael Singer, Self-Compassion by Kristen Neff or Trauma by Peter Levine.
Core Wound and Life Mission Exercise
The TSMM culminates in the Core Wound and Life Mission Exercise. This is where you will write your life story by examining how your core wounds created your saboteurs (adaptive behaviors) and how that has influenced your life. We then create a new story by creating your mission and vision statements and your new beliefs that support you in your hero’s journey.
The goal is to help you live a life with ease, joy, and flow by being your True Self, being psychologically flexible and living with all Parts of you through self-leadership.
Your Commitment
The True Self Mind Mastery™ program is adaptive and can be structured to align with the most hectic and demanding schedules. You determine the pace, but to get results, you must commit to doing the work.
· Daily 15-minute exercises
· 10 Weekly 90-minute one-on-one sessions
· 10 Weekly 30-minute group sessions
· Videos you can watch on weekends or during your free Ethane
· Qualitative and quantitative assessments to track your progress
TSMM is not interested in coaching you for life. After the first 10 individual sessions, about 50% of the cohort will continue to be coached to integrate more fully their transformation. TSMM’s goal is to support you for 6 to 12 months to transform your mindset and get you to you to the level five of self-development (self-realization/self-transcendent), so you can go about your life and business with ease, joy, and flow.

Assessment
Alex’s Changing Your Life Story:
Core Wound and Life Mission Exercise
Exploration of Core Wound and Beliefs: In the first session, Alex acknowledges deep-seated core wounds rooted in childhood experiences, including feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness, fear of abandonment, and a pervasive sense of not being loved or valued. Core Wound: "I am a failure" and "I am not loved" Reason for Formation: These core wounds likely developed due to experiences of abandonment, rejection, and perceived failure during childhood, leading to deep-seated beliefs of inadequacy and unworthiness.
Saboteurs Discovery: In second session, Alex and his therapist delve into the discovery of his saboteurs, recognizing how these internal patterns have influenced his behaviors and relationships. Through introspection and therapeutic exercises, Alex identifies the following saboteurs:
· Hyper Achiever
· Avoider
· Hyper Rational
· Victim Mentality
· Hyper-vigilance
Transforming Saboteurs and Core Wounds: In third session, Alex begins the process of transforming his saboteurs and addressing his core wounds. With increased psychological flexibility and a focus on being his true self, Alex works towards challenging his negative beliefs and embracing new ones aligned with his authentic identity.
Core Wound: "I am a failure" and "I am not loved"
Reason for Formation: These core wounds likely developed due to experiences of abandonment, rejection, and perceived failure during childhood, leading to deep-seated beliefs of inadequacy and unworthiness.
Negative Beliefs:
Feeling of worthlessness
Fear of inadequacy
Conditional love
Fear of rejection
Sense of isolation
External validation
Saboteurs:
Hyper Achiever
Role: The Hyper Achiever saboteur drives Alex to overachieve and excel in various aspects of their lives as a defense mechanism against their fear of failure and feelings of inadequacy. It compels them to constantly strive for perfection and success to prove their worth and avoid confronting their deep-seated insecurities.
Impact: While this saboteur may lead to external accomplishments, it often results in burnout, anxiety, and a perpetual sense of never feeling "enough." Alex may struggle to find fulfillment and satisfaction despite their achievements, as they are driven by a constant need for validation and approval.
Avoider
Role: The Avoider saboteur helps Alex avoid situations or emotions that trigger their core wounds, such as rejection or inadequacy. It leads them to distract themselves with busyness, procrastinate, or emotionally distance themselves to protect against potential hurt or disappointment.
Impact: While avoidance may provide temporary relief from discomfort, it hinders Alex' ability to confront and process their underlying emotions. It perpetuates patterns of escapism and prevents them from addressing the root causes of their core wounds, maintaining a cycle of emotional avoidance and stagnation.
Hyper Rational
Role: The Hyper Rational saboteur enables Alex to detach from their emotions and adopt a logical, analytical approach to life. It serves as a defense mechanism against the pain of confronting their deep-seated insecurities, allowing them to maintain a facade of competence and control.
Impact: While rationality may offer a sense of stability and security, it often leads to emotional detachment and suppression of authentic feelings. Alex may struggle to connect with their emotions and others on a deeper level, as they prioritize logic over empathy and vulnerability.
Victim Mentality
Role: The Ethan Mentality saboteur compels Alex to adopt a mindset of victim, seeking attention, love, and understanding through feelings of victim and martyrdom. It may manifest as sulking, seeking sympathy, or playing the role of the Ethan to gain validation and support from others.
Impact: While adopting a Ethan mentality may provide temporary comfort and validation, it perpetuates feelings of powerlessness and dependency. Alex may struggle to take responsibility for their own actions and emotions, attributing their struggles to external factors rather than addressing their underlying core wounds.
Hyper-vigilance
Role: The Hyper-vigilance saboteur manifests as a constant state of alertness and vigilance, scanning for signs of abandonment or rejection to protect against potential threats to one's sense of worth and safety. It leads Alex to anticipate and prepare for perceived dangers, often resulting in heightened anxiety and stress.
Impact: While hyper-vigilance may offer a sense of control and preparedness, it often leads to excessive worry and rumination. Alex may struggle to relax and enjoy the present moment, as they are preoccupied with anticipating and avoiding potential threats to their self-esteem and emotional well-being.
Understanding and addressing these saboteurs is essential for Alex to break free from negative patterns and cultivate healthier coping mechanisms. Through coaching, self-reflection, and targeted interventions, Alex can learn to recognize and challenge their saboteurs, fostering greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and authentic living.
Positive New Beliefs:
· "I am a winner"
· "I am loved"
Phase 2: Impact of Core Wound on 5 Life Phases: Reflecting on how his childhood beliefs have influenced behaviors and relationships, Alex recognizes the pervasive influence of past traumas on present experiences, acknowledging the need for change.
Phase 3: Future Projection with Present Saboteurs: Envisioning the consequences of perpetuating present saboteurs, Alex confronts challenges of releasing old fears and embracing new beliefs, persisting in affirming newfound beliefs, recognizing signs of progress and growth.
Phase 4: Crafting a Mission Statement: Crafting a mission statement aligned with his evolving vision, Alex sets ambitious goals to serve and uplift others, leveraging unique talents and abilities to make a positive impact on the world, fostering understanding, connection, and personal development.
Mission Statement: "I am here to serve and uplift others by being my true self. My mission in life is to cultivate compassion, curiosity, creativity, and wisdom to help people grow, learn, and thrive. Through my innate sensitivity and authenticity, I aim to make a positive impact on the world by fostering understanding, connection, and personal development. I am committed to creating a better future by living motivated by love, responding more and reacting less, fostering secure attachments, and being vertically and horizontally integrated."
Phase 5: Vision for the Future: Envisioning a future grounded in self-acceptance and meaningful connections, Alex reflects on past experiences and familial pressures, dismantling victim mindsets and embracing journeys towards self-acceptance, happiness, and fulfillment.
Phase 6: Identifying Beliefs and Values: Identifying beliefs and values aligned with his mission and vision for the future, Alex commits to embracing emotional freedom and authenticity, embarking on journeys towards holistic well-being and authentic living.
Positives: Alex has recognized his core wounds and begun challenging beliefs, actively working to overcome fears and reshape self-images, prioritizing self-care and establishing healthy boundaries. Despite struggles, he is making progress towards emotional awareness and authenticity, inspiring others to embark on similar journeys of self-discovery and personal development.
Alex can now live with new core beliefs i.e. Positive New Beliefs:
• "I am loved and I am worthy".
• "I am lovable and I am likable".
• "I am passionate, happy, and contented".
• "I can care for myself".

2. Clear Beliefs®. www.clearbeliefs.com
From Lion Goodman founder of clear beliefs:
"The Clear Beliefs Coach Training is the culmination and synthesis of my 40+ years of study and practice in a wide variety of disciplines: psychology, neurology, personal growth, spirituality, history, cosmology, philosophy, and the principles of success. I researched and worked with more than 100 techniques and theories for changing consciousness and healing the psyche. I was the center of my own experiments, seeking the most efficient methods for my own growth, healing, and transformation. I came to the realization that beliefs were the fundamental building block of our experiences. They are the infrastructure of the psyche – and consciousness itself. This infrastructure has been called by many names: mental schema, paradigms, interpretive filters, maps of meaning, neural pathways, and dozens of others. Regardless of what you call them, they operate in the subconscious mind, beneath our conscious view of the world, and experience of reality. They shape our view of the ourselves, how we see others, and how we respond to the world. They limit who we are and what we’re capable of. And they carry the potential of un-limiting us, freeing us from the past, and opening new possibilities.
“The belief layer of the mind is the Alex leverage point to create rapid, effective internal change. If you change your beliefs, you change your reality.”
Mark: Congratulations on putting your program together with so many excellent components. I am happy to have added a tool to your robust tool bag. I wish you the best for the future. I am proud of you, and always available if I can be of support.
